- Pure run: Three or more cards in sequence, same suit (e.g., 5–6–7).
- Set: Three or more cards of the same rank, mixed suits (e.g., 8–8–8).
- Unmelded cards: Cards not in a valid combination count toward your hand total.
- Knock: Declare your hand closed when you believe your unmelded cards total 10 points or fewer.
